What the job looks like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:
- Manage further strategic set-up and implementation of the Compliance and Responsibility Program for Gallia (France, Netherlands, Benelux) in line with the global Compliance and Responsibility Program
- Represent Legal and Compliance in the Cluster Leadership Team Gallia, local boards and cross-functional teams and provide strategic input
- Setup processes to control and monitor that Grünenthal's activities are in line with regulations and pharmaceutical codes incl. establishment of adequate internal controls for identified risks
- Plan and supervise the implementation of the local trainings for Legal and Compliance
- Manage processes to be able to provide regular updates on non-financial metrics to Global Responsibility
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts
- Manage court actions and engage and coordinate external lawyers as needed
- Oversee the digitalization of contracts and their proper distribution within Grünenthal
- Manage potential non-compliance incidents incl. internal investigations
- Act as Data Privacy Officer for France and implement local Data Privacy Program for Gallia, provide solution-oriented legal advice to internal clients on data privacy topics
- Coordinate all local initiatives and efforts in the area of Digital Ethics
- Act as line manager to the local Compliance Liaison
What you'll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:
- Degree in Law (required)
- At least five years of experience as a lawyer or inhouse counsel, preferably within the life science industry
- At least 2 years experience as a compliance professional within the pharmaceutical industry
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical devices law, unfair competition, IP and corporate law
- Knowledge of the relevant pharmaceutical market in France
- Fluency in French and English
- High level of organisational skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
